Marketing and Sales Internship (unpaid, for course credit)
About You:
The marketing and sales intern plans and executes initiatives that meet measurable organizational objectives for lead generation, customer retention and thought leadership. Additionally, the intern proactively suggests and implements programs and processes that strengthen and scale HydroPoint's marketing effort. Specific responsibilities include:
- Participating in all aspects of the production of marketing communications including concept creation, creative development, copywriting, multi-departmental review cycles and distribution
- Collaborating with internal and external team members in tracking the performance of marketing campaigns
- Managing the company's participation at online and offline events
- Drafting marketing communications including customer success stories
- Managing the master marketing programs calendar
Requirements:
- Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience managing marketing assets, events and direct marketing campaigns that increase customer acquisition
- Excellent analytical abilities; adept at creating programs that are measured against quantified objectives
- Impeccable interpersonal skills; ability to manage projects that involve multiple internal team members and external agencies
- Creativity and initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce.com, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator and Dreamweaver
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Technical Support Internship (unpaid, for course credit)
This internship is designed to give the qualified candidate experience supporting HydroPoint's smart irrigation product lines in both simple and complex irrigation installations while working with a world-class customer service organization.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support on controller settings, hardware and field issues
- Review product documentation and training materials
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements:
- Have a junior/senior college-level standing in business administration, environmental studies, irrigation design or related field
- Possess knowledge, or ability to learn, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent analytical abilities
- He/she should be a creative, independent worker, who is well-organized and dependable
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Enjoy detail work where high degree of accuracy is required
- Enjoy the environment of a small, fast-paced organization
- Have an interest in water resource and water conservation field
- Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred
- Experience with irrigation systems or horticulture is a big plus

Water Conservation Internship (unpaid, for course credit)
This internship is designed to give a broad range of responsibilities and experience in a professional, dynamic environment; the intern can expect to work in many areas including customer service, water analysis, and business services and related duties.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assist with customer monitoring
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform analysis of various water use accounts for major residential and non-residential customers
- Research water conservation programs
- Investigate water rate increases and schedules
- Review, evaluate, and process rebate applications for water efficient landscape irrigation equipment
- Prepare concise correspondence, reports, and office memorandums
- Draft letters of request to water agencies and customers for water bill information
- Project research for potential install sites
- Collaborating with internal and external team members
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements:
- Have a junior/senior college level standing in public relations, marketing, business administration, environmental studies, economics, or related field
- Possess knowledge, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
