HydroPoint sells 'smart irrigation' systems to city

PETALUMA - HydroPoint of Petaluma sold The City of Petaluma a group of its WeatherTRAK smart irrigation controllers. The city will give 73 homeowners a free system in an effort to reduce landscape water usage by 20 percent to 25 percent. The city will monitor water usage at these sites. Additionally, the city will install the controllers at municipal parks and other city-owned properties.
The WeatherTRAK irrigation system automatically adjusts watering based on changes in the weather.
The City of Healdsburg will also use the system for its parks.
