Technology Veterans Join HydroPoint Management Team |
Company Poised to Launch WeatherTRAK Technology into New MarketsPetaluma, Calif., August 16, 2004 - HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., the leading provider of smart irrigation management solutions, today announced the expansion of its management team. Patrick Halahan and Robert Torre have joined the company as Vice President, Engineering and Vice President, Finance and Administration, respectively. Both executives have extensive experience in the introduction of mission-critical technology products that meet exacting quality standards. These executive additions will support HydroPoint's continued growth in residential and commercial landscape irrigation management.Patrick Halahan, a high tech manufacturing industry veteran with nearly thirty years experience, most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer of Tru-Si, where he developed proprietary technology for semiconductor applications. Prior to joining Tru-Si, Patrick trimmed costs and achieved precision gains in print head design as a General Manager and Vice President, Engineering for Xerox Corporation. Earlier in his career, Patrick designed a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system for Toshiba Corporation that received FDA approval after just three installations. At HydroPoint, Patrick will be responsible for managing the engineering effort behind the company’s launch of two new products, both scheduled to release this year. HydroPoint’s new products will expand the functionality of the company’s WeatherTRAK solution to address large-scale landscape management. Robert Torre brings more than twenty years of experience in managing financial operations to his new position at HydroPoint. In his previous role as Vice President and General Manager of Avery Weigh-Tronix, an ISO 9001-certified provider of precision measurement devices, Robert steered the turnaround of a division to reach profit levels that exceeded projections by more than 35%. Robert will assume responsibility for all aspects of HydroPoint’s finance and administration, including managing the company’s supplier relationships and implementing enterprise systems to support the company’s growth. “The WeatherTRAK solution is enjoying an enthusiastic response from landscape professionals, homeowners and municipal water agencies across the west.
