Petaluma, Calif. – April 20, 2010 – HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc. (www.hydropoint.com), the proven leader in Smart Water Management with over 20,000 smart controller installations, announced today the launch of the WeatherTRAK® Smart Water Manager™ solution. HydroPoint's new solution includes all the features required to meet the rigors of commercial landscape applications without the high costs inherent to central control systems.

Adding features without raising prices, HydroPoint's product management and engineering teams responded to requests from landscape contractors for a solution that streamlines installation and ongoing maintenance. Contractors estimate that WeatherTRAK Smart Water Manager will accelerate the ROI of smart irrigation projects by 30 percent.

Enhanced hardware features make WeatherTRAK Smart Water Manager faster and easier to install for both retrofit and new construction sites. New features such as a movable transformer minimize additional field work and site modifications.

The solution's highly customizable design offers increased flexibility to contractors and simplifies product selection and implementation. WeatherTRAK Smart Water Manager is available in a new smaller enclosure footprint spanning 12 to 48 stations. Customers may purchase the WeatherTRAK solution as a fixed station count controller and upgrade with 6-station modules at any time.

Smart Water Manager provides faster and more in-depth field diagnostic capabilities, enabling contractors to dramatically reduce call backs and resolve field issues by quickly pinpointing field wire integrity, hardware, flow or programming issues either automatically or manually depending on site requirements.

”I'm confident that every project we take on will be a win-win for my clients and my business because WeatherTRAK Smart Water Manager reliably produces maximum water savings and ROI,“ said Harvest Landscape Enterprises Inc. President Steven Schinhofen, who has used the product successfully throughout the Orange County, California region.

”Contractors asked, we over-delivered with a solution that expands the WeatherTRAK feature set while it reduces the cost,“ said Chris Spain, chairman and chief strategy officer, HydroPoint Data Systems. Mr. Spain added, ”We're stimulating economic recovery in the landscape industry to help contractors meet fast-growing demand for proven water use efficiency technologies.“

The WeatherTRAK Smart Water Manager expands the capabilities of WeatherTRAK Central Internet Management including central control, flow monitoring and customizable alert notification. Like all products in the WeatherTRAK line, the solution features ET Everywhere® for irrigation adjustments based on the industry's most accurate weather data and built-in Scheduling Engine™ software. This proven combination achieved perfect scores on the SWAT™ smart controller protocol, captured 95 percent of potential water savings in a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power's field study and automates compliance with new legislation concerning outdoor water use.
